Check Issaquena Transfer Records

To find someone reportedly released from Issaquena County Correctional Facility after a Warren County or Vicksburg booking, first prove that the person was actually sent there. Historical city planning material documented some out-of-county misdemeanor housing, but that source does not establish a current contract. A transfer from Warren or Vicksburg is not a community release. The reliable path joins the originating agency's transfer entry, confirmation from the receiving facility, and the court file that governed the case. Each date must stay tied to the agency that created it.

Issaquena Transfer Claim Limits

An official Vicksburg comprehensive plan published in 2015 documented historical contract detention of some city misdemeanor prisoners in Issaquena County. That is evidence of a past arrangement, not proof that Vicksburg uses the facility now. No current Warren or Vicksburg contract was verified in the research. Do not infer a destination from the old plan simply because a person vanished from local information.

The Issaquena County Correctional Facility does appear on MDOC's current facilities listing, and its listed contact is 22746 MS-1 in Mayersville, 662-873-2153. That current facility listing confirms the site, not a present Warren County placement agreement. Ask VPD or the Warren County Sheriff for the named destination and transfer timestamp before contacting Issaquena about a specific person.

Confirm an Issaquena Transfer

Start with the agency that held the person in Warren County. For a VPD arrest, use the weekly arrest report only to obtain the arrest number, then request the booking and transfer entry through VPD or the City Clerk. For a Warren County Jail episode, request the sheriff's jail-docket page and release or transfer record. Ask one clear question: was the person released to the community or transferred, and if transferred, to whom and when?

  1. Collect the booking number, arrest date, full name, and date of birth.
  2. Obtain the originating custodian's destination and transport date.
  3. Call Issaquena only after the destination is named.
  4. Match the receiving episode to the originating court case.
  5. Request the later release entry from the agency that actually held the person then.

The Warren County release search gives a full custody decision tree. No result in a live list can replace the transfer document.

Issaquena Facility Contact

The current MDOC facilities material lists the Issaquena County Correctional Facility at the address and phone below. Before arranging travel, records pickup, or release transportation, call to confirm the correct operating contact and procedure. Published release hours, exit door, property pickup steps, and a Warren-specific records route were not verified.

When calling, do not rely on a common name alone. Give a booking or agency number, date of birth, originating agency, and likely transfer date. Ask whether the facility received the person, the admission date, later exit date and time, release type or destination, and the office that accepts a written record request. If details cannot be disclosed by phone, ask for the correct written confirmation path rather than guessing.

Issaquena Release Versus Transfer

“Released by Warren County” may mean only that Warren surrendered custody to another facility. It does not show that the person entered the community. The Warren exit record should label the receiving agency. The Issaquena intake record should establish arrival. A later Issaquena release or transfer record then explains the next custody change. Keep all three events separate.

If the person later entered MDOC state custody, use the MDOC inmate search by MDOC number when possible. Read location and “Tentative Release Date” as state data. That estimate is not an actual exit. If the person appears in the parolee search, it supports a community-supervision trail, not full discharge. For a final state history, request a discharge certificate through MDOC's written portal.

Issaquena Records Request Fields

A useful request asks for the booking or intake record, admission date and time, originating agency, unit or custody movements, actual exit time, release authority, release type, and transfer destination. Include a narrow date range and all known identifiers. If the episode began in Vicksburg, attach the city arrest number. If it began at Warren County Jail, identify the sheriff booking.

Not every requested field is guaranteed public or stored in one file. Ask for segregable nonexempt material and a written statutory reason for any withholding. Mississippi public-record procedures may allow actual search, review, duplication, and mailing costs. No facility-specific fee or turnaround should be stated until the records custodian confirms it. A phone answer is useful for routing, but a written record is more durable.

Match the Warren Court Case

An out-of-county placement does not change which court controls the underlying Warren or Vicksburg matter. Municipal Court usually handles a Vicksburg city misdemeanor. Justice Court addresses county misdemeanors and felony preliminary matters. County Court keeps its own docket and municipal appeals, while Circuit Court handles later felony prosecution. Ask for the actual bond, sentencing, dismissal, or transfer-related order.

The court order shows legal authority but may not record the physical door time. The custodial record supplies the exit event. Warren Circuit and County electronic files began in MEC on November 15, 2021, so older or unavailable records may need a clerk search. The Release Date Lookup page explains why order dates, admission dates, tentative dates, and actual release dates should never be blended.

Search Other Custody Systems

If Issaquena says the person went to another county, repeat the request with that named custodian. If the destination is MDOC, use state tools. Federal prison requires the BOP locator, while federal pretrial custody may require the court docket and USMS contact. Immigration custody uses the ICE detainee locator. Each system covers only its own custody.

Mississippi SAVIN/VINELink may show events from participating county facilities and MDOC. Use VINE Inmate Check for the correct person, save the source agency and exact alert wording, then confirm it. A release notice might reflect community release, transfer, or another movement depending on the source. No alert and no search match are not proof that the person was released.

Issaquena Identity Controls

Prefer an agency number over a name. Compare the full name, middle name, aliases, date of birth, arrest date, charge, and originating agency. A photo can help distinguish two records but should not be the sole match. If an Issaquena intake identifier conflicts with the VPD or sheriff episode, report the conflict and ask the two custodians to reconcile it.

Label every date. “March 4” could be a Vicksburg arrest date, Warren transfer date, Issaquena intake date, court order date, or later exit. Say which agency lists each one. For recent local context, the 24-Hour Releases and 72-Hour Releases guides document that no official Warren rolling feed was found. They should not be used to reconstruct an Issaquena history.

Record when each source was checked. Facility listings, custody data, and contract relationships can change. A dated note that the 2015 agreement is historical prevents a later reader from mistaking it for a current placement promise. Confirm changed facts with the agency that owns them.

Issaquena State Record Boundary

Issaquena appears on the current MDOC facilities listing, but that fact does not make every person housed there an MDOC state prisoner. The origin and legal status must be established from the transfer and intake records. A Vicksburg misdemeanor placement under a local contract, if one were currently confirmed, would follow a different record trail from a person serving an MDOC sentence. Do not substitute the statewide inmate search for receiving-facility confirmation unless MDOC has actually received and entered the person.

When an MDOC result appears, compare the MDOC number, date of birth, county of conviction, sentence date, entry date, and listed location. The detail page may show sentence counts, offense data, physical descriptors, a photograph, and “Tentative Release Date.” That date is MDOC's current estimate. It does not prove the date the person left Warren, arrived at Issaquena, or later exited state confinement. Obtain each event from its own custodian.

If the inmate search no longer shows a reliable result, check the parolee system. An appearance there supports a supervision trail. It does not prove full sentence discharge. If neither search resolves the state history, submit a written MDOC request for the discharge certificate, time sheet, jail credit, release category, and supervision dates. Telephone contact may clarify routing, but MDOC says formal public requests must be written.

Issaquena Notification Follow-Through

Mississippi SAVIN/VINELink may carry events from participating county facilities and MDOC. Search by the strongest identifier available, confirm the source agency, and register only on the correctly matched record. Possible notices include release, transfer, temporary movement, return, escape, and absconding supervision. Similar alerts close together may describe distinct steps rather than duplicates.

A Registration Link can help continue notification when custody moves from a county source to MDOC or another source. Save confirmation and complete any phone PIN or email or text verification presented by the service. After an alert, contact the feeding agency for the official event. A notification is useful contemporaneous evidence, not a certified release record or proof that the person entered the community.

Official Issaquena Source Routes

The 2015 Vicksburg plan supports only the historical contract statement. Check the current MDOC facilities listing for present facility context. Use the Warren County Sheriff page when a county-jail transfer is claimed, or the VPD records route for a city booking. The origin record must name Issaquena before the receiving path controls.
